Making It Happen

I found there is only one thing to do when you absolutely love hearing about other people’s dreams, passion projects, and coffee-fueled creative ventures. I have to help them make it happen.

I started out simply, with a couple of friends who needed to be introduced to the business side of Facebook. From there I branched out to helping design their websites and explaining what a brand identity meant to their specific dream. I found that the people who start small businesses generally do it because they are really good at and really love THE THING, and they could do THE THING all day, every day, but they aren’t sure how to package, price, market, or sell THE THING. On top of that, I found that many people starting businesses didn’t feel they had a good sounding board for working out their business problems (and their work-life balance problems).

I am here because I love all those things. I love creating order out of the chaos that most small businesses create (despite their owner’s best efforts). I love to help people figure out all of the steps between dream and reality, and I love to show people the tools and systems they need to streamline their business. Small business coaching and consulting is about helping business owners structure their business and become the business owner they want to be.

About me

Aside from a deep love for watching people light up about their dream, I was drawn to business coaching by my love of entrepreneurship. Growing up I was founder, CEO, president, and entire payroll for several of the neighborhood’s most successful lemonade stands, gardening services, and handmade anything stores. Working for and with small businesses over the past few years has reawakened that childhood energy and enthusiasm for business. I have a background in systems thinking which I apply to business management in the manner of Willy Donaldson, author of Simple-Complexity. Training in leadership development from the Inspired Action Network has honed in on my coaching and embodied leadership skills. As most entrepreneurs do, I have a strong support system of mentors and coaches; I can’t wait to join yours.
